Free visits at the Castle of Buti

The Castle opens its doors to the public. Three areas inside:an immersive room, where you can experience the history of the village through sounds, images and atmospheres of times gone by.

A floor dedicated to the artists and illustrious figures of Buti, protagonists of the local identity. Three multimedia rooms that tell the story of: Il Maggio Butese, the ancient popular theatrical tradition; Il Palio di Buti, a race between districts and passion; extra virgin olive oil, the excellence of the territory.

From 10 to 30 September, an exhibition dedicated to Cesare Del Cancia, Buti’s first great cycling champion and a leading figure in Italian cycling during the 1930s and 1940s. Buti has always been a land of cyclists, a community with strong ties to cycling and sporting culture. Remembering Del Cancia means rediscovering an important part of our history.
The exhibition is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm
