“Festival of Thought” – Festival del pensare

The Festival of Thought, which for the past 12 years has been offering reflections on the various forms of thought, takes place from 23 to 26 July in Casale Marittimo (Open-air Theatre) and Montescudaio. 

The theme of this year’s edition is ‘Lost Humanity’: solidarity, compassion and respect seem more fragile today.

The festival examines our everyday lives – healthcare, work, family – where contradictions and profound questions arise. Why do we feel lost? Have we lost our bearings? Einstein and Russell’s call from 1955 remains as relevant as ever: “Remember your humanity and forget the rest.”

Talks, conferences and workshops are open to anyone interested in philosophical, artistic, cinematic, literary and psychological debate. The conferences and workshops are free of charge and are led by well-known figures from the worlds of culture, the performing arts, theatre and radio entertainment.
