“Septem cellae secretae” – art exhibitions in the Gaols of Palazzo Pretorio | Vicopisano

Septem cellae secretae, or the seven secret cells, is the new group exhibition of 14 local artists taking place inside the evocative and ancient prisons of Palazzo Pretorio in Vicopisano from 18 June to 18 August.

Just as it happened historically in the 16th century, when the prisoners in those same prisons of Palazzo Pretorio expressed their testimonies of redemption, proclamations of faith and politics, requests for help, anger and desolation, leaving traces that are still clearly visible on the walls today
