27/10/2025 - 06/04/2026
Palazzo Blu, Lungarno Gambacorti, 9, Pisa
From Tuesday 14 October 2025 to Monday 6 April 2026, the autumn exhibition event “Belle Époque” will be held at Palazzo Blu. On display will be works from Italian and international institutions, including the Musée d’Orsay and the Louvre, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Uffizi Galleries, the Capodimonte Museum and Royal Park, as well as private collections accessible to the public for the first time.
The exhibition celebrates the elegance, modernity and charm of fin-de-siècle Paris, as seen through the eyes of Italian artists such as Boldini, De Nittis and Corcos, who found inspiration there and became leading figures in the vibrant European art scene.
The exhibition is divided into thematic sections that retrace the salient moments of that period: from the political upheavals of 1870 to the affirmation of modern Paris. Through society portraits by Boldini, Sargent and Helleu, urban views by De Nittis, impressionist echoes by Zandomeneghi and the cosmopolitan elegance of Maison Goupil, the exhibition recounts a unique era of art, literature, science and customs that made Paris the cultural heart of the world.
