Fairy tales at the Castle of Lari

The Fairy Tales at the Castello dei Vicari event returns to Lari: events on 15th, 22nd and 29th March and 5th April from 5.30pm. Four Sundays dedicated to children, when the castle halls will host fairy tale shows for young and old alike.

The Castello dei Vicari is an imposing building with an unmistakable circular layout and double ring of high walls. The first nucleus of the castle dates back to the early Middle Ages, but the structure currently visible dates from the first half of the 17th century. It was with the Florentine conquest in the 15th century that it reached its peak of importance, becoming the seat of a vicariate.
