Pomarance is the gateway to the largest geothermal area in Europe. It is the ideal place from which to visit the Larderello Geothermal Museum, which tells the story and techniques used to extract geothermal energy from boraciferous fumaroles and natural geothermal manifestations, for which this area is called the ‘Valley of the Devil’.
