10/10/2025 - 16/11/2025
Cittadella Galileiana, Via Bonanno Pisano, 2, Pisa
The sixth edition of the Pisa Architecture Biennial takes place from 10 October to 16 November in a diffuse exhibition itinerary involving 8 pavilions along the Arno river axis, including the Arsenali Repubblicani, Torre Guelfa, Chiesa della Spina, Scala sopra le Logge-atrio Palazzo Gambacorti, Palazzo Lanfranchi, Museo delle antiche Navi, Bastione Parlascio and the Vecchi Macelli.
These locations will be enlivened by thematic exhibitions – including two special ones dedicated to Álvaro Siza and Renzo Piano Building Workshop, both winners of the Pritzker Prize – conferences, lectio magistralis, workshops, film events and public meetings, with the aim of involving a wide and transversal audience, not only made up of specialists and insiders.
The theme chosen for this edition is Nature: not only a sensitive reference to the environment, but a profound and transversal reflection on how man’s work can return to a balance with the planet. Architecture in this plays a crucial role as a tool for managing the complex systems in which we live and with respect to the environmental and social repercussions of climate change.
The Pisa Biennial will also be an opportunity to launch the creation of a library fund dedicated to architecture with the aim of implementing the section of the municipal library for a greater and more widespread dissemination of architecture as an essential value for the quality of people’s lives.
