A night in Santo Pietro Belvedere

On Saturday 9 July, the medieval hamlet of Santo Pietro Belvedere (near Capannoli) welcomes visitors and tourists for a special open-air evening: ‘Una notte a Santo Pietro’, in its first edition. Starting at 7.30 p.m., visitors will find the venues festively set up with the possibility of enjoying an open-air summer evening of good food, entertainment and live music, strolling through the streets with musical accompaniment, shows and performances by artists and jugglers, and a wide range of street food and tastings by commercial operators.

It is an evening with a theme: light. A curtain welcomes guests at the entrance and ushers them into a magical, nocturnal space, illuminated by the lights of video projections that will be cast on the façades of the buildings, with street artists, jugglers, and waders. A special set-up with colourful and entertaining areas dedicated to children.

Many initiatives will accompany the evening stroll and dinner in the streets of the village: from the Pianist who will perform suspended in the air, to the band Poterico, the Swingtet trio, the Luminous Stilt-walkers, children’s entertainment with Giocosamente, the Stress Band of Capannoli, performances by the Capannoli dance school and the presenter Paolo Picchi. The stands of the craft market and vintage shops will enrich the route.

The main points of the historic centre will be involved in the event. From the Terrazza Castello, to the Piazza Belvedere, the Piazza della Chiesa, and the Parco della Castellina (wedding location). Each location is decorated in the colours and theme of the event and there will be stands for dining and entertainment, family refreshments and activities for children. All events are free admission. There will be four car parks set up where you can leave your car and directions to the event locations on foot.
