Pomaia, Pomaia
For 46 years, the Sagra del Baccello (pod) has been the festival of Pomaia, a small village in the Pisan Hills, where you can taste some typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine.
It traditionally takes place between April 25th and May 1st. A wide variety of grilled meat and of course raw pods, to be accompanied with pecorino or baccellone, a fresh white cheese that is a little salty.
