A theater that for 364 days a year remains silent. Then, once a year, the silence is broken by the music and voice of Andrea Bocelli, who every year returns to his hometown of Lajatico for a concert with other international artists in the middle of this wonderful natural amphitheater.

Andrea Bocelli, the voice that breaks the “silence”

Since 2006, the Teatro del Silenzio has seen pop music singers, tenors, and friends of Andrea Bocelli take turns on stage, including Laura Pausini, Roberto Bolle, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Gianna Nannini, Zubin Mehta, and Carla Fracci. After dismantling the set, each year designed by a different artist, the theater goes back to sleep, transforming itself once again into a natural amphitheater where the giant head, the work of artist Igor Mitoraj, stands out in the center.
