Its current appearance is owed to the restoration work carried out in the early 18th century, based on the design by the Pisan architect Francesco Melani. In 1772, an external loggia in the Florentine style was added, while the bell tower was constructed in 1837.
The single-nave interior features along its walls tombstones and family tombs, especially belonging to the Orlandini and Baciocchi families, along with two side altars in stone from 1624. The right altar is adorned with an eighteenth-century painting depicting the Guardian Angel, while the left one showcases the Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian. Particularly noteworthy are the choir and the organ, both dating back to the eighteenth century. On the main polychrome wooden altar rest two statues of the Annunciation adorned in period clothing. The complex is completed by a farmhouse and a very characteristic nineteenth-century cemetery.
