Divino Calice – Wine Tasting | Pomarance

Divino Calice is celebrating its 19th anniversary on Thursday 6 August with an evening in the streets of Pomarance dedicated to good taste and fun.

From 6.00 pm, there will be wine tastings served in personalised glasses and samplings of local specialities, alongside food stalls, street performers, open museums and music featuring the great classics of Pink Floyd, in a unique show of music and lights. The concert is open to the public and no booking is required.

This is an opportunity to visit the museums, including Casa Bicocchi, which offers a glimpse into 19th-century middle-class life with reconstructed original furnishings. Here, the permanent exhibition ‘The Warrior Princes’ is on display, illustrating the period from the Palaeolithic to the Renaissance. On display are valuable artefacts, such as the ‘Lustignano Pebble’ engraved with the image of a bison, one of the oldest examples of prehistoric art in Tuscany. Another valuable artefact is the monumental Etruscan stele from Pomarance (6th century BC).
