Exhibitions at the Kienerk Museum of Fauglia

The Kienerk Museum, housed in the former magistrates’ court, displays a collection of paintings, sculptures and bas-reliefs by Giorgio Kienerk – over 130 works donated to the local council by his daughter Vittoria. The artist, a pupil of the Macchiaioli painters Cecioni and Signorini, had long-standing ties with Fauglia, having spent a great deal of time with his wife and daughter at the family villa in Poggio alla Farnia.

The museum hosts exhibitions and special openings throughout the year, such as the group exhibition ‘Travelling with Toscana Arte: Stop in Fauglia’, which opens on Friday 21 August at 6.00 pm at the Saletta Kienerk and La Lucciola. This exhibition brings together works by 17 contemporary artists, creating an evocative dialogue between painting, colour and the museum’s setting.

The exhibition is open on 21–22–23 August, • 28–29–30 August and 4–5–6 September from 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm.
