Walls & Wine | Pisa

On Saturday 16 May, history will once again intertwine with flavour for the second year running with ‘Mura & Vino – Walls & Wine’, an aperitif held atop the city walls. Meet at 6.30 pm at the Bastione del Parlascio for a tour featuring a guided walk along the ramparts to the Leaning Tower, combined with a double tasting of wine and olive oil al fresco on the terraces of the walls, whilst waiting for sunset over Piazza dei Miracoli with expert oenologists and the Villa Saletta winery from Palaia, whose history dates back to the Middle Ages.

Two wines will be tasted, both made from Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. We start with the Rosé 2024, followed by the “Chiave di Saletta” 2018, IGT Rosso Toscana.

The event concludes in Piazza dei Miracoli with extra virgin olive oil
