Pod and local fried Artichoke Festival

The 28th festival will take place on 24, 25 and 26 April, and then on 1, 2 and 3 May at the Circolo ARCI La Serra pavilion, near San Miniato.

Dinner is available on 24 April and 2 May, whilst both lunch and dinner are served on 25 and 26 April, and 1 and 3 May. Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy the authentic flavours of the region, with tastings of olive oil and local specialities, as well as ciaccini and pizzas. Free entry

The local artichoke is round, thornless, light green in colour and medium to large in size (around 8–9 cm). Very tender, it has a lingering, intense flavour. Once cooked, its tenderness really comes into its own.
