Christmas in Calcinaia

On Sunday, 7 December, Calcinaia will host ‘Aspettando il Natale’ (Waiting for Christmas), an afternoon full of activities that will transform the town centre into a festive, tasty and entertaining experience for young and old alike. The event will begin at 3 p.m. with the opening of food stands and many activities, including lights, music, scents and activities for the whole family (see poster).

Artistic multi-scene nativity scene in the Church of San Giuseppe on 8, 21, 25 and 26 December and 4, 6 and 11 January from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 3.30pm to 7.30pm; 7 and 27 December and 1 January from 3.30pm to 7.30pm. On other days by appointment.

The fourth edition of ‘Diversamente Vico Vitri Arte 2025’ will take place from 6 to 19 December: an exhibition of works created by young people from various local associations at the Montessori Educational and Recreational Centre in Fornacette (Via Morandi). The inauguration will take place on Saturday 6 December, while on Friday 19 at 4 p.m. in the Andreotti Hall in Fornacette, there will be a closing party with refreshments and a symbolic auction of the works on display.

‘Vico Vitri arte’ is an art exhibition held in the Torre degli Upezzinghi and the Lodovico Coccapani Museum in Calcinaia, featuring various art forms (painting, sculpture, graphic art, photography, design).
