Christmas in Buti

Christmas is back with a packed programme of events in both in Buti and Cascine di Buti.

Castel Tonini: Openings: 13/14/20/21/27/28 December from 3pm to 7pm
and 3/4 January from 3pm to 7pm

7 December: The large wooden nativity scene – Piazza XXV Aprile – La Croce, throughout the period
5.30 pm – Merry Christmas in La Croce – Piazza XXV Aprile
– Lighting of the wooden nativity scene and live nativity scene

8 December: Christmas Market in Cascine di Buti – Via Sarzanese Valdera –
2:00 p.m. – Opening of food stands, 2:30 p.m. – Dance performance, 3:30 p.m. – Children’s poems and songs. Followed by Christmas Bingo and Santa Claus’ arrival

13 December 2.30pm – Painting workshop “Censorship in art and literature” in Buti
5pm at Castel Tonini Opening of the exhibition “Saramago Mediterraneo”

14 December: 10am – Waiting for Christmas among the woods and olive groves. Walk with visit and tasting of EVO oil from ‘Gli Eroi degli Olivi’ (Info and reservations 339.199.9121)

18 December at 9.30pm – Christmas concert at the Teatro Vittoria – Cascine di Buti

20 December: 10am-8pm – Christmas market and local products in Piazza Garibaldi – Buti
3.30pm – Free guided tour of: Buti Castle, Romanesque Church of San Francesco, Rossoni Oil Mill and Christmas markets. Departure from Piazza Garibaldi with tastings at the producers’ stalls (335 6857855)

21 December: 10:00 am-8:00 pm Christmas market and local products in Piazza Garibaldi
