Halloween in the old town of Pisa

On Friday 31st October, the historic center of Pisa turns into a spooky village with “Stregami Pisa” (Bewitch Me Pisa). From 5pm to 8pm, children can take part in an interactive trail featuring games, scary face painting, thrilling fishing, candyfloss and popcorn, guided by entertainers and accompanied by the Trick or Treat Fairy, who leads them through the shops between Corso Italia and Borgo Stretto.

Along the way, four stations with street actors tell stories of ghosts and famous figures from the city, from Conte Ugolino to Kinzica, and point the way to Piazza dei Cavalieri and the Torre del Conte Ugolino. Children can collect stamps on a card: those who listen to the four stories receive a small prize, such as popcorn or candyfloss. The stations are strategically located in Largo Ciro Menotti, Borgo Stretto, Piazza Garibaldi, Piazza XX Settembre and Corso Italia.

In addition to the Logge di Banchi, other activities enliven the centre: shows in Largo Ciro Menotti and Logge di Banchi, travelling monsters and masks roam the streets of the city.
The evening continues with a show in Piazza 20 Settembre and ends with music and a DJ set in Piazza Garibaldi. From 9 p.m. in Piazza Garibaldi, which becomes the meeting place to dance the night away with “Wakanda”, led by international performers and artists. Admission to the evening is free.
