06/01/2024 ore: 16:00 - 19:00
Parrocchia Santo Stefano, Via Tosco Romagnola Est, 520, San Miniato Basso
With its 100 participants, it is one of the most enthralling living Nativity scenes in Tuscany. It has been held for 12 years at San Miniato Basso in the square opposite the church.
This year there will be some novelties in the setting up and in the provisions to prevent gatherings and respect the rules of prevention.
Two dates: 26 December and 6 January from 4.30 pm
After passing through the streets of the village that was once called “Pinocchio” (Carlo ‘Collodi’ Lorenzini was inspired by these lands for his famous puppet), the living nativity scene will be concentrated in the square between the ancient Church of Saint Martin and Stephen and the Church of the Transfiguration to bring to life the scenes of the expectation and birth of Jesus.
