“Sabatini Cup” Bike Race | Peccioli

The Coppa Sabatini, now in its 74th edition, is a men’s road cycling race held in Peccioli every year in September. It is part of the UCI Europe Tour calendar, class 1.1.

The race has been held since 1952, when sports enthusiasts in Peccioli wanted to dedicate it to the memory of Giuseppe Sabatini, a cyclist from Peccioli who had a brilliant career between 1933 and 1947, the year in which he died prematurely at the age of 36. The race starts in Piazza del Carmine and finishes in Piazza del Popolo.
