Amico Museo, free admittance in the Museums

From 15 May to 28 June, museums in Tuscany are responding to the Region’s invitation to open their doors to visitors of all ages, offering guided tours, special exhibitions, workshops and entertainment. A wide variety of activities, all united by a shared passion: to showcase Tuscany’s cultural heritage through initiatives that engage visitors in creative experiences.

The University of Pisa’s Museum System is taking part in the initiatives with a programme of events
Saturday 16 May from 4.00 pm: ‘The museum under the stars’, at the Museum of Physics Instruments and the Science Playroom.
An afternoon and evening dedicated to the study of the universe, tracing the history and science of telescopes and astronomical observations through demonstrations and interactive installations. There will also be a guided tour of the historical instruments and two lectures by lecturers from the Department of Physics at the University of Pisa. These events are open to all, with free admission but compulsory booking via the website.
