The splendid setting of Piazza dei Priori in Volterra provides the backdrop for ‘Art Tour, il bello in piazza’ (Art Tour, beauty in the square), a guided tour of high-quality artisan workshops with demonstrations and sales.
On Friday 25 July from 6pm to 8pm, there will be a focus on quality craftsmanship with “L’arte nelle mani: mestieri che raccontano” (Art in the hands: crafts that tell a story), an opportunity to highlight the skill of Volterra’s artisans and the excellence of “made in Tuscany” products. At the end, there will be a tasting of typical products, which is always welcome.
The travelling Art Tour continues on Friday 8 August at the same time with the itinerary “Weaves, Glass and Memories: Art that Endures over Time”, dedicated to historical weaving, alabaster working and the art of glass.
The exhibition continues in autumn with two new stops: San Miniato on 22 November and Pisa on 29 November.
