The center was once surrounded by ramparts and walls, later destroyed by the Florentine army and never rebuilt.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Medici Villa<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20381\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20381\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-20381\" src=\"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Immagini-interne-TDP-12-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Chiesetta di Camugliano\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Immagini-interne-TDP-12-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Immagini-interne-TDP-12-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Immagini-interne-TDP-12-320x320.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Immagini-interne-TDP-12.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20381\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The little church of Camugliano<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ponsacco shows no artistic attractions except for the <strong>Oratory of the \u201cMadonna della Tosse\u201d<\/strong>, keeping a terracotta by Luca della Robbia, and the church of San Giovanni with a sloping bell tower and the bell with Pisa coat or arms engraved on it.<\/p>\n<p>In the surroundings, a must is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/en\/attrazione\/ponsacco-camugliano-villa-medicea\/\">Villa of Camugliano<\/a>, also known as <strong>Villa Niccolini,<\/strong> a Medici villa and imposing building with four corner towers preceded by a beautiful avenue lined with cypresses. The villa was ceded by the Medici to the Marquis Filippo Niccolini, who modified the original structure.<\/p>\n<p>Its territory is mainly flat and urbanized.
