After only 12km you get to the mouth of the Arno, that the locals call &#8220;<strong>Bocca d\u2019Arno&#8221;<\/strong>. Welcome to <strong>Marina di Pisa.<\/strong> From here, you can enjoy a wonderful\u00a0 landscape with a skyline covering the Apuan Alps in the background, the Pisan Mount and the mediterranean bush of San Rossore Park. Particularly interesting the big fishing nets (called &#8220;retoni&#8221;) likewise wooden stilts (palafitte) rising in the middle of the sea, crossed by salt and fresh water.<\/p>\n<p>Near the river mouth, a <strong>marina<\/strong> has been built with over 300 berths, well equipped for yachting and sea excursions. For families with teenagers and children, the safe\u00a0 experience of an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ilpinetoparcoavventura.it\/\"><strong>adventure park <\/strong><\/a>\u00a0close to the sea and immersed in the green of the pinewood.<\/p>\n<p>Marina di Pisa is a seaside resort developed in the second half of the 19th century from a small fishermen village.
