{"id":3271,"date":"2018-06-18T23:01:11","date_gmt":"2018-06-18T21:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/chi-siamo\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T15:20:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T13:20:10","slug":"who-we-are","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/en\/who-we-are\/","title":{"rendered":"Who we are"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Terre di Pisa is a brand dedicated to promoting and enhancing tourism in the region, launched in 2017 on the initiative of the Pisa Chamber of Commerce as part of a project involving public and private partners from the tourism sector: 34 municipalities, the Valdera Union, trade associations and tourism organisations representing the Pisa region. <br>The project aims to improve the quality of tourism services offered in the area, promote local food and craft products, raise awareness among stakeholders, and attract tourists seeking non-standardised destinations and products, whilst offering authentic Tuscan lifestyle experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cTerre di Pisa\u201d Tourism Area Community<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The brand was originally named \u201cTerre di Pisa\u201d Tourism Area, in accordance with the Tuscany Regional Law No. 86\/2016, and subsequently renamed \u201cTerre di Pisa Tourism Area Community\u201d in accordance with the  Tuscany Regional Law No. 61 of 31 December 2024 (Consolidated Law on Tourism).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cTerre di Pisa Tourism Area Community\u201d: 26 municipalities <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/en\/\"><strong>Terre di Pisa Tourism Area Community<\/strong><\/a> includes 26 Municipalities: Bientina, Buti, Calci, Calcinaia, Capannoli, Casciana Terme \u2013 Lari, Cascina, Castelfranco di Sotto, Chianni, Crespina \u2013 Lorenzana, Fauglia, Lajatico, Montopoli in Val d\u2019Arno, Orciano Pisano, Palaia, Peccioli, Pisa, Ponsacco, Pontedera, San Giuliano Terme, San Miniato, Santa Croce sull\u2019Arno, Santa Maria a Monte, Terricciola, Vecchiano, Vicopisano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lead organisation of \u201cTerre di Pisa\u201d Tourism Area is the Municipality of Pisa, which has signed a specific agreement with the North-West Tuscany Chamber of Commerce. <br>The Chamber has been appointed as &#8220;DMO&#8221; and is responsible for the promotion and communication of the destination until 31 December 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cTerre di Pisa\u201d DMO and \u201cTerre di Pisa\u201d DMC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The North-West Tuscany Chamber of Commerce represents the <strong>DMO (Destination Management Organisation)<\/strong> of \u201cTerre di Pisa\u201d Tourism Area Community. The DMO is an organisation that manages, coordinates and promotes tourism within a specific territory.
