On the podium, Giacomo Loprieno will conduct his Ensemble Symphony Orchestra. Micaela Palmieri will host the evening.<\/p>\n<p>The event forms part of what could now be described as a tradition, which began in 2023 when the Opera della Primaziale Pisana chose to celebrate the 850th anniversary of its Campanile \u2013 the foundation stone was laid on 9 August 1173 \u2013 with a grand spectacle in Piazza del Duomo. Since then, every summer the Piazza dei Miracoli has become a spectacular open-air stage for celebrating the anniversary of the world\u2019s most famous tower: \u2018Accordo di Stelle\u2019 opens this season of celebrations on 24 July.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The programme<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Giacomo Loprieno, will set the tone for the evening with some of the most famous pieces composed by Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota and Nicola Piovani \u2013 unforgettable soundtracks that have made Italian cinema great throughout the world.<\/p>\n<p>Roberto Bolle takes to the stage with *Waves*, one of his best-known solos, in which he interacts with a shifting and dynamic beam of laser light. The choreography is by Massimiliano Volpini, with music by Davide Boosta Dileo and Erik Satie. Roberto Bolle will once again take centre stage alongside Melissa Hamilton in *Caravaggio*, Mauro Bigonzetti\u2019s brilliant choreography set to music by Claudio Monteverdi, reorchestrated by Bruno Moretti \u2013 one of the most significant works in contemporary dance, which will have its Italian premiere in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The piano performances will feature Giovanni Allevi with *Back to Life*, *Tomorrow* and *Our Future*, a composition that received its world premiere at COP26 in Glasgow. One of the best-known pianists, composers and conductors on the contemporary Italian music scene, Allevi has developed an original musical language that blends classical tradition with contemporary sensibilities, appealing to an international audience.<\/p>\n<h2>Useful information<\/h2>\n<p>Admission is free and no ticket is required; seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis until full capacity is reached. No bookings are accepted. Access to the auditorium will be permitted from 6.30 pm via Via del Duomo. From 5.00 pm, access to Piazza del Duomo from the Via Cardinal Maffi side will be closed to both entry and exit.<\/p>\n<p>To allow more people to watch the show, two giant screens will also be set up along Via del Duomo.
