Since the 18th century, <strong>the remains of St. Valentine <\/strong>the martyr (patron saint of Bientina, to whom the palio in July is dedicated) have been located here. The remains of the Saint were exhumed from the Roman catacombs of San Callisto on the Via Appia and delivered to Bientina in1699.
