Tickets will be available at Palazzo Pretorio.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Rocca<\/strong>\/<strong>Fortress<\/strong><br \/>La Rocca was commissioned by the Medici family from the famous architect Filippo Brunelleschi following the conquest of Vicopisano. The aim was to construct a defensive structure that would be impenetrable to enemy armies. <br \/>Brunelleschi designed a fortress with high crenellated walls supported by small arches and loopholes from which Greek fire and boiling oil could be poured onto attackers. In addition, several drawbridges were incorporated into the defensive complex.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Walkway<\/strong><br \/>The emergency walkway dates back to the 15th century.
