In summer, from Thursday to Sunday. The route does not present any particular difficulties. Suitable for all adults and children of at least 4 years of age. It is necessary to wear closed shoes and to bring something to cover oneself when walking through the gallery. There are stairs along the route. Small dogs must be carried.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guided tour of the Mining Park and Descenderia<\/strong>: Please note: the descenderia descends to the fourth level on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. via a staircase approximately 100 metres below ground level. The route is not accessible to persons with reduced mobility or those unable to move independently; it is accessible to children aged 12 and over if accompanied by at least one adult. Hiking shoes must be worn and something must be brought to cover oneself. Animals are not allowed. In operation until 1907, the area was the largest copper mine in Europe in the 19th century and gave its name to one of the major industries of the 20th century: Montecatini S.p.A., which later became Montedison, a historic milestone in the field of copper extraction.
