The Centro Cagianelli for the 20th Century, established in 2015, is not merely a cultural association, but a true driving force for rediscovery dedicated to promoting the Umbrian sculptor Enrico Cagianelli (Perugia, 1886\u2013Gubbio, 1938) and Italian art between the two world wars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the most significant discoveries are the 11 terracotta statues from the Nativity scene exhibited at the 1934 International Exhibition of Sacred Art in Rome, recovered from the studio of the Gubbio-based ceramist Leo Grilli. The collection was subsequently enriched with plaster casts from the historic collection of Prof. Enzo Storelli and, in particular, with the ceramic masterpiece known as the Vase of Pan, unearthed on the Parisian antiques market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To complete the exhibition route, the de Witt Corridor is dedicated to the important Tuscan artist Antonio Antony de Witt, an engraver, painter and man of letters trained in the tradition of Pascoli and of proven D\u2019Annunzio devotion, of whom the Centre preserves a significant archival collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
