{"id":52387,"date":"2024-01-15T12:26:54","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T11:26:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/attrazione\/chianni-ghiaccione-waterfalls\/"},"modified":"2024-01-15T12:31:43","modified_gmt":"2024-01-15T11:31:43","slug":"chianni-ghiaccione-waterfalls","status":"publish","type":"attrazione","link":"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/en\/attrazione\/chianni-ghiaccione-waterfalls\/","title":{"rendered":"Chianni | Ghiaccione waterfalls"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>Ghiaccione Falls<\/strong> are a true piece of paradise, sought after for their cool climate even in high summer (if you go in other seasons, remember your jumper!), but also for their magical and secret atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To get there, you have to drive along <strong>the road from Chianni to Castellina Marittima<\/strong>. After a small bridge over the La Torre stream, you will find another bridge over the Carbonaia stream, where you can park your car. In the woods on either side of the road there is a small path up the river. <strong>The water is icy but the spectacle is breathtaking<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three successive waterfalls, but the third, called &#8216;<strong>Il salto della Capra<\/strong>&#8216;, is not easily accessible. The second one is the most majestic and certainly the most photographed: it is sadly called &#8216;<strong>The Jews&#8217; Falls<\/strong>&#8216;, because it seems that in wartime some people, victims of the racial laws, were executed there. Enjoy a few hours of rest in this magical corner, enjoying the coolness in summer or the warm colours of autumn.
