{"id":52190,"date":"2024-01-08T12:27:17","date_gmt":"2024-01-08T11:27:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/attrazione\/san-giuliano-terme-rigoli\/"},"modified":"2024-01-08T12:29:59","modified_gmt":"2024-01-08T11:29:59","slug":"san-giuliano-terme-rigoli","status":"publish","type":"attrazione","link":"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/en\/attrazione\/san-giuliano-terme-rigoli\/","title":{"rendered":"San Giuliano Terme | Rigoli"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Rigoli<\/strong> was built in the early Middle Ages, in a period before the eighth century, given the presence of the beautiful and ancient <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terredipisa.it\/en\/attrazione\/san-giuliano-t-rigoli-and-pugnano-churches\/\">Romanesque church of San Marco<\/a> that had a large number of churches and villages in the Val di Serchio. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the only parish in the area with a large structure with three naves, each with a semicircular apse and baptismal basin inside. The Romanesque parish church is one of the most beautiful monuments of the artistic heritage of the Diocese of Pisa. Rigoli was part of the medieval defensive system of the Republic of Pisa against Lucca. Its history is therefore similar to that of the other castles in the area, often contested between the two rival cities, then passed under the rule of the Medici. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you will find <strong>Villa Alta<\/strong>, now an accommodation and venue for events and weddings, in a panoramic position on a hill near the SS Abetone.
