Starting from 21 gennaio 2021 the Museum of Palazzo Reale (Royal Palace) opens again to visitors according to specific and rigid regulations due to Covid19.
The Palace, renovated in 2001, has recovered rooms and connections with adjacent buildings that formed the complex of the grand-ducal court. Designed as a museum of the court and of the Pisan customary, preserves the aspect of a patrician residence, with decoration and furniture of 17th-19th century, and collects testimonies of families that lived there: paintings, portrays, furniture, tapestries and armours.
Admittance only upon reservation and in the scheduled timetables with a limit of 15 people.
Open: Monday, Thursday and Friday at 9.00, 11.00 am, 3.00, 5.00 pm; Wednesday at 9.00 and 11.00 am
Closed: Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays
Groups are admitted up to 20 people and the guide (with microphone) in order to guarantee a distance of 1,50 m during the visit no longer than 1 hour.
