Pine Nut Festival in San Piero a Grado

San Piero a Grado, halfway between Pisa and the seaboard, celebrates every year the historic Sagra del Pinolo, set in Via Deodato Orlandi. 
Two weekends 3-5 and 10-12 July

Here you can try local specialties such as pasta made with organic pine nuts from the Nature Park of San Rossore, grilled beef and steak, bruschetta with tomatoes and pine nuts, torta coi bischeri (a traditional sweet) and pinolata, a pine nut dessert.
