International Festival at the Roman Theatre | Volterra

The festival takes place in Volterra during the months of July and August, with a program that ranges from prose to dance, from music to opera, with national and international companies. Shows start at 9.30 pm

This is an event of high international level that promotes Volterra with its Roman Theatre , the most beautiful archaeological evidence of the Roman era in Tuscany. In the past, great and important artists have participated in the Festival, such as Giorgio Albertazzi, Dario Fo, Arnoldo Foa, Massimo Ranieri, Paola and Alessandro Gassman. A prestigious Jury assigns the prizes “Ombra della Sera”, to important personalities of the show business and culture.
