The Geothermal Energy Museum in Larderello, managed by Enel Green Power Italy, is open for visits with or without reservation. The Museum is accessible only with a mask, respecting the indications and signs for the restricted entrance. A path that, starting from the Etruscan and medieval period, leads to the industrial development and the challenge of alternative energy. It will be possible to assist to the demonstrative opening of a dandelion directly from the extraction well. A surprising force that is released from the earth generating a loud noise: a real sensory experience.

It is particularly suitable for school visits with didactic activities on geothermal power and its natural phenomena. The visit includes the museum rooms, the plastic-model room (showing the origin of geothermal energy, the research, the drilling activity), the covered “lagone” (geothermal lake) and the thermal spring. The experience of a journey at the center of the Earth.
