Between the maquis and the forest
The Oasis is located in an area of the coastline with lush Mediterranean scrub and woodland behind the dunes. It is criss-crossed by a number of paths and is equipped with information boards and wooden barriers delimiting the dunes.
Among the Mediterranean species are the prickly juniper, alaternus, phillyrea, arbutus, holm oak, fragrant broom and cistus. Among the sand species are the precious beach goldenrod, endemic to the upper Tuscan coast, and more common plants such as calcatreppola, ammofila, sea carrot, helichrysum, beach spurge and sea lily.
