centro Pontedera, Corso Matteotti, Pontedera
On 4 November, Pontedera will inaugurate “Natale ad Arte” (Christmas to Art), the new edition of the Christmas exhibition that will see the city centre with artistic installations spread across Piazza della Concordia, Piazza Gronchi, Piazza Cavour, Piazza Curtatone e Montanara, Piazza Belfiore Caduti di Cefalonia e Corfù until 31 March 2024.
The installations in the city will be joined from 8 December to 25 February 2024 by SCART’s exhibition ‘Portraits’ at Palazzo Pretorio (PALP), which valorises recycling and recovery, transforming waste into works of art. The exhibition, with free admission, hosts a series of large-format portraits of film, music and sports personalities, entirely made from industrial waste (for example, we find a Marilyn Monroe made from leather cuttings, metal and plastic accessories) in partnership with some of Italy’s most important Fine Arts Academies.
