Festa dei Commercianti – Merchants’ Festival | Bientina

Saturday 19th June sees the return of the Merchants’ Festival, organised by the Bientina Natural Shopping Centre Association, which takes place in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and in the streets of the historic centre.

In the centre, one can still appreciate the remains of the medieval walls, towers and Mastio, now housing the library and municipal archives, and the Museum of Ancient History of the Territory with a section dedicated to the Etruscan period. The local economy is essentially based on commercial activities, handicrafts, antiques (one of the most traditional markets in Tuscany takes place here every month), small industry, particularly in the mechanics and manufacturing sectors, with the production of furniture, furnishing components, clothing, footwear and leather processing.
