Children can climb aboard the themed floats depicting the protagonists of their favourite cartoons or films.
Masked parades on Sunday 21 and 28 January, 4 and 11 February at 2.30 pm.
Closing night on Tuesday 13 February from 7 pm with the Veglione, music and masked fun. At 10.30 p.m. the Carnival Bonfire of the “Testone”: the historic straw logo with a diameter of 4 metres will be burned with the spectacle of fireworks.

History of the Orentano Carnival

In 1956, parish priest Don Livio Costagli had the idea of organising a ‘Children’s Carnival’ to spend a few hours of merriment with the children. This Carnival remains an event aimed at children, who are the absolute protagonists. The floats, larger and more numerous each year, are inspired by cartoon characters and are made by the villagers. Music, streamers, confetti and thousands of masked children are the essential components for the setting of Carnival’, repeatedly ‘immortalised’ by the cameras of RAI and many private TV stations.
