Fair of the “Amaretto Santacocese” | Santa Croce sull’Arno

The Festa dell’Amaretto Santacrocese is 30 years old and, as per tradition, takes place on 8 December in Santa Croce sull’Arno.

The Santacrocese amaretto is a dry cone-shaped biscuit on a square base, baked on a layer of wafer, golden in colour with a slightly darker tip. It is generally made with almond flour, sugar and eggs, to which grated lemon rind is added, giving it a special aroma.
