21st Living Nativity Scene in the Basilica of San Piero a Grado | Pisa
Basilica di San Piero
Via Vecchia di Marina, 5
The beautiful Romanic basilica welcomes a living Nativity Scene with 200 performers, that every year features new settings and added details. Visitors first meet the gates of Bethlehem where their entrance is registered and where they can leave a mark of their entrance, changing a coin that they will use to buy the products on sale in the various stalls in the set up. The itinerary includes a stop at the Court of Herod, with the changing of the guards, followed by the hut, with the donkey and the ox, where the Saviour is born, and the Three Kings following the star.
The living Nativity Scene is performed 24 December at 8.30 pm and 26 December at 5.30 pm.
