The museum brings together the rich material of the former Volterra mental hospital (Asylum) recovered over the years and of enormous cultural value, including the wall of graffiti by Nannetti Oreste Fernando (NOF4).
An incredible patrimony of documents from the former psychiatric hospital, a memory of objects, photos, facts, archived and exhibited in the ‘Lombroso’ Documentation Centre, located inside the San Lazzero hospital area.
This museum is not normally open to the public, only on Sundays with guided tours at 2.00pm. The pavilions of the former psychiatric hospital and the graffito by Nannetti Oreste Fernando can be visited.
