The Museum, the most recent of the museum system of San Miniato, is dedicated to the memory of the Second World War, testimony of those who lived those horrors. Inside are collected great part of the memories of the citizens that wanted to record their history through objects, letters, photographies and video-memories.

The collection is divided into three sections and covers a period between 1921, the year of the establishment of the Fascist groups (called “Fasci da combattimento) and 1946 when the first democratic elections with universal suffrage were held.

The Museum has been realized in collaboration with the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa which has taken care of the multimedia applications, offering a faithful historical reconstruction of the most significant events of San Miniato in the painful period of the Second World War.
