Dinosaurs were at the Prehistoric Park of Peccioli in 1997, thirteen years before the novel Jurassic Park, sixteen years before Steven Spielberg’s film of the same name and 23 years before Disney’s feature film “Dinosaurs”.
Dinosaurs in Peccioli
The Prehistoric Park features twenty-two reconstructions, including a volcano that erupts colored balls and a full-scale reproduction of a Jurassic brachiosaurus, the largest dinosaur currently reconstructed in Europe.
Each dinosaur is presented by a multilingual descriptive sign explaining its main features. The Prehistoric Park was curiously founded by a former circus performer almost 40 years ago. Since then he and his family have taken care of the Park and the dinosaur reconstructions.
