DESCRIZIONE

The Museum of Sacred Art opened in 2009, is housed in the Romanesque church of San Verano, the local patron saint, inside the 16th century Assunta Chapel.

You can admire the most significant artworks by Tuscan artists such as a painting of the Virgin Mary with her child made by Enrico di Tedice during the 12th century. The museum shows some ancient crosses and other artworks by Giovanni Pisano, Bicci and Giovanni Bilivert, in addition to many artworks like a chalice from 15y century.

It is part of the Museal System of Peccioli, which includes also the Archeological Museum and the Palazzo Pretorio Museum
