Monastero di Valserena
Valserena is a monastery of contemplative nuns of the Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance.
Founded in 1968, it follows the rule of St. Benedict, according to the spirituality of Citeaux: a simple and fraternal life made of work, prayer and reading.
Still today the work in the fields is the main activity of the nuns, who for almost half a century have also been producing in their laboratory cosmetics and detergents for personal use.
The nuns of the Monastery of Valserena have in fact focused a lot of attention on personal care, creating over the years a rich line of creams and products for face and body.
Each day, as required by the rule of St. Benedict, is punctuated by moments of prayer that can, however, be shared with visitors or with guests.
